Ise (Mie prefecture) & Nagoya Plans

I'm going to visit my friend in Nagoya! : )
I also invited Naka to go with me.

And under very auspicious circumstances, I even received a free ride to Ise!
Her friend will drive us to Ise to see the Ise Jingu (Grand Shrine) among other places.
Cheers to free rides! hoho

I'm also staying at my friend's dorm for 1 night, for free! And there are no other students in the house except for my friend since everyone already left. (same as I-house, but lonelier)
--> I wish I-house didn't charge overnight visits as well.

DAY 1
Sept.4 (Sunday)

* Train leaves Kyoto Eki at 5:48am and arrives at Nagoya Eki at 8:08am
* Road trip to Ise:

- Ise Jingu (Ise Grand Shrine) = has 125 shrines! Considered as the holiest Shinto shrine in Japan.
- My friend's friend (haha) will be our tour guide, so I'm not yet sure where we're going after Ise Jingu
- Most probably: Meoto Iwa (Wedded Rocks), Oharaimachi, Ise Shima National Park, Miya River

* Return to Nagoya, stay at my friend's dorm - for free! : )

Food:
Ise-ebi (spicy lobsters), Ise-udon, Akafuku (mochi rice with red bean paste)

DAY 2
Sept.5 (Monday)

NOTE: It's my older brother's birthday (he's turning 23) & also Jazmin's birthday! :D

* Visit Jenn's university
* Buy Norihoudai ticket
* Nagoya Castle
* Osu Kannon Temple
* Noritake Garden - sadly it's closed on Mondays
* Atsuta Shrine
* Sakae (downtown district)
- see: Nagoya TV Tower (1st TV tower built in Japan, 1954), a Ghibli shop! ^^, Oasis 21 complex, and Nadya Park

* Nagoya Eki
- see: JR Central Towers
- dinner: Misokatsu!

OTHER DELICACIES: uiro sweets, tenmusu (Nagoya shrimp tempura), Hirsumabushi (eel)

* Our train leaves Nagoya Eki at 8:30pm, will arrive at Kyoto at around 11pm.

I hope my camera & memory card will be fixed by then. I'll be more careful this time.
Shige will bring it to Bic Camera to have it fixed. Gaaah, the frisson. I'm still nervous whether our Miyajima/Hiroshima pictures will be recovered or not. Oh well, I've moved on. It was an awesome experience!!!!

The Yamazakis left I-house today. I didn't know that they were leaving at around 4pm. I was lucky that I was able to see them off.
It was raining and I was rushing home from school (I signed my JASSO scholarship), then I saw the Yamazakis with their daughter and So-Jeong at the front entrance.
We said good bye in the rain. It was an interesting scene. hoho
I will miss them; they've been very kind, especially when I had my bike accident. They really helped me a lot.

The new couple seems nice as well, the Yoshidas.

We'll be having a small gathering for Yoshida-san and the new buddy, Chika on the 3rd.
And the new students are coming on the 7th!

Oh, gaaaaaaaaah. Exciting times, yo.

Cheers.
